A numeric password is hard coded in the 8051 microcontroller code. Security is a major concern in our day to day life and digital locks have become an important part of these security systems. Our digital code lock project is a simple electronic number lock system or an electronic combination lock using 8051 which has a preset 5 digit password stored inside the program the system collects 5 digit user input compares the user input with the preset password inside program and if the user input and stored password matches access will be granted by opening the door with the help of relay for a few seconds and closing it automatically after stipulated time.

If the code matches the predefined hard coded code lock will open up and user can enter the room. User have to enter the code. We type the password using keypad which is attached with the system. This system demonstrates a password based door lock system using 8051 microcontroller wherein once the correct code or password is entered the door is opened and the concerned person is allowed access to the secured area.

The brain of this project is 8051 micro controller and relay is the heart of this project these are the two major component of this project. The password is already saved on 8051 microcontroller memory a predefined password is db 49d 50d 51d 52d 53d 0 if we convert this in to decimal we will get 1 2 3 4 5 so this is our password when we enter this password with the help.
